Greg Brannon on Homeland Security

We can only achieve peace through strength

Our Constitution places the National Defense as the most important function of the federal government. As the greatest experiment in Liberty the world has ever known, our country must have the most powerful military in the world.

I believe we can only achieve peace through strength. Therefore, we must stand ready to defend The People from foreign aggression, defeat radical Islamic terrorism, be prepared to repel invasion, and postured to deter the threat of domestic terrorism.

Executive kill lists & warrantless wiretaps are un-American

The Congress' exclusive power to declare war must be reserved for cases such as these, and the President must never be allowed to wage war on his own, no matter the political party to which he belongs.

Our founders warned us against the dangers of sacrificing liberty for the sake of security, and policies that undermine individual freedom do not make us safer, they make us weaker.

I believe that policies such as the indefinite detention of U.S. Citizens, executive kill lists, and warrantless wiretapping are un-American. We can have the world's most superior military force without trampling on the rights of The People.

The Federal Government must return to its Constitutionally enumerated powers so that our inalienable rights are preserved. A Constitutional American defense policy should be characterized by peace through strength, and superior power under control.
