Duf Sundheim on Tax Reform

Get rid of gimmicks and tax breaks the wealthy have

Q: What's your opinion of the statement, "Higher taxes on the wealthy"?

A: I would focus on getting rid of all the gimmicks and tax breaks the wealthy and the well-connected have. It is unfair for the small business owner who makes thousands to pay 35% while the multinational who makes billions sometimes pays nothing at all

Ease the squeeze on hard-working Americans

Stagnant wages and rising costs are squeezing the hard working women and men of this country. Closets are being turned into bedrooms, people are leaving their homes to live in other people's garages. When I cast my vote in the U.S. Senate on economic issues, I will have ask one question: Will this bill ease the squeeze on hard working Americans? If it will, I will support it; if it will not, I will fight it.
