Raise statewide minimum wage to $15/hour as I did in Atlanta

JACKSON: My focus is creating jobs. I've been creating jobs my entire life. I have created so many jobs in Atlanta and all over the United States, my focus is to give new jobs that pay higher. And to have workforce development, we need to use our high school students to show them the ability to do things like farming and electrical and plumbing and so forth in our technical schools because all of these jobs come out with a minimum of $25 an hour plus benefits. And so that's what I want to do. I want to show people how to get out of poverty.

BOTTOMS: I want to make sure, in the same way that I was able to do this in the city of Atlanta, we were able to raise our minimum wage for our employees to $15 an hour. Which at that point was considered a living wage. That living wage should be applied across this state. I will have the ability to implement that as governor. And I will strongly encourage private employers to follow suit.

Raise minimum wage to $15/hour; re-start Hire One

Bottoms will for all airport concessions and retail workers to earn $15 per hour; leverage the Atlanta-Fulton County Recreation Authority to secure agreements for workers at Philips Arena and the Atlanta Zoo to earn $15 per hour, the livable wage for our community.
