Make sure veterans can receive the coverage they need

BOTTOMS: When I served as mayor of Atlanta we had opportunity to work alongside many groups that service our veterans, including a suicide prevention network that was specifically targeted toward veterans. But also the state of Georgia has to stand in the gap. Millions of dollars have been cut from the VA's budget. the state has to be able to stand in the gap to make sure that veterans can receive the coverage that they need when they need it.

JACKSON: I'm going to put together a concierge desk in the governor's office to help any veteran 24-7 to actually navigate through the bureaucracy that you have to do from that standpoint. In addition to that, I'm going to have a transition plan so that veterans when they come out to show them how to get another job and to be hired, I'm going to incentivize companies to hire our veterans. What I want to do is have Georgia be the number one state to be a veteran.
