Jack Ciattarelli on Crime

Toughen bail reform rules governing juvenile offenders

Jack will oppose Civilian Review Boards with or without subpoena power, protect "Qualified Immunity", and eliminate mandatory "Use of Force" reporting when a firearm is NOT discharged. Jack will fix "Bail Reform" loopholes that currently allow violent and repeat offenders to walk free by appointing conservative state judges and county prosecutors, as well as revising the current bail reform law to toughen rules governing juvenile offenders.

Changed position, supports Trump's pardon of Jan. 6 rioters

According to Politico, "three of the four major Republican candidates for New Jersey governor explicitly endorsed at least some of Trump's pardons of people who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6." That includes Ciattarelli, who "previously said people who broke the law should not be pardoned." Now, with his MAGA bona fides in question, Ciattarelli is changing his tune, claiming that "President Trump was right to pardon the men and women present at the Capitol on January 6th."

Answer to hate crimes not new policy but changed attitude

Jack Ciattarelli Statement on Death of George Floyd: "Let us not make the mistake, once again, of trivializing hate crimes by merely calling for new public policies. All of us, each and every day, must do something that helps bring an end to indecency, hatred, and bias. All of us, each and every day, must be a shining example of tolerance and respect. All of us, each and every day, must call out intolerance, isolating those who engage in hate and bigotry."
