Will veto elimination of cash bail or qualified immunity

It's time to make Michigan a top destination for law enforcement. Recruitment and retaining quality officers must be a top priority. To boost morale, Michigan's next governor must have the backs of officers. Any legislation to eliminate cash bail or qualified immunity should be greeted with a veto pen. All recruitment and promotions within the Michigan State Police should be based on merit.

Cheered dismissal of charges for fraudulent Trump electors

The former Michigan speaker of the House of Representatives said that the federal government should investigate Attorney General Dana Nessel for the abuse of her office following a Lansing judge's decision to dismiss charges against 15 individuals accused of conspiring to help President Donald Trump's campaign overturn the results of the 2020 election. Tom Leonard, who was Nessel's opponent in the 2018 race, joined several other Republicans across the state in cheering the decision.
