Greg Abbott on Principles & Values

Texas is the blueprint for America's future

Texas is the blueprint for America's future. We rank No. 1 for technology & innovation and No. 1 for semiconductors that power the things you use every day. We created a Space Commission to boost space exploration in Texas, from NASA, to SpaceX, to Blue Origin, and beyond. And we added new business courts that swiftly deal with complex business litigation. Business is booming so much that we now have our own stock exchange, the Texas Stock Exchange. It will make Texas the financial capital of America.

Signed Pastor Protection Act allowing pastors free speech

Championing the conservative values and religious liberties that define Texans, Greg Abbott fights for the principles of faith, family and freedom to make Texas a better place to live and raise a family. Calls for an Article V Convention of States

Texas' greatest freedom enumerated in our Constitution is the Tenth Amendment. This country is seeing a federal government that aggressively intrudes into our personal lives, our businesses, and our bank accounts. As Governor, Greg Abbott is one of the leading voices in America calling for an Article V Convention of States. Our nation's founders knew there would be a time when the federal government would overstep its authority, and they gave us a tool to deal with it in the Constitution.

Prevent government from shutting churches during pandemic

Freedom of Religion is enshrined in the First Amendment. And yet, some government officials across the country shut down churches during the pandemic. Even in Texas, some local officials tried closing churches. That is wrong. We must ensure that freedom to worship is forever safeguarded. I want a law this session that prevents any government entity from shutting down religious activities in Texas.

Defend "One Nation, Under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance

Greg Abbott fights for the principles of faith, family and freedom to make Texas a better place to live and raise a family.

Greg Abbott successfully defended the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments on the Texas Capitol grounds all the way to the US Supreme Court. He also represented all 50 states in defending the words "One Nation, Under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance, and in defending prayer during the Presidential Inauguration ceremony.

Endorsed by Donald Trump/MAGA after presidency.

Abbott is endorsed by Trump/MAGA endorsement list

Endorsements by Donald Trump, implying support of Trump's agenda and electoral style. The phrase `Make America Great Again` was popularized in Trump`s 2015 book Time to Get Tough:Making America Great Again. It is the campaign slogan embroidered on the ubiquitous red caps seen at Trump rallies (which after Trump`s presidency, became known as `MAGA rallies`).
