Keith Butler on Homeland Security

No country has ever been attacked for being too strong

No country in the history of the world has ever been attacked because its enemies thought they were too strong militarily. I believe that the United States military should be the strongest in the world. We should have the best equipped and best trained soldiers. Protecting this nation is our top priority.

Renew the Patriot Act and expand FBI & CIA

Top-notch intelligence work is essential for keeping our Homeland safe. We must give the President and our law enforcement the tools they need to watch for threats from within and beyond our borders. That is why I support a renewal of the USA Patriot Act and an increase in the overall size of and more intensive training for the FBI. We also need to be sure the CIA and our other intelligence agencies are fully funded and we continue to cooperate with international anti-crime organizations such as Interpol
