Ben McAdams on Gun Control

Ban bump stocks; close the gun show/internet loopholes

Q: What actions will you support to decrease the incidence of gun violence in America?

BEN MCADAMS: I support the 2nd Amendment right to gun ownership but with rights come responsibilities. I support changes to our current system which include: outlawing "bump stocks", strengthening background check procedures and closing the gun show/internet sales loopholes. I also support keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, criminals, terrorists and those suffering from severe mental illness. I support actions that may be proposed by local school districts to improve safety. I believe we can strike a balance between rights and responsibilities to make communities safer.
