Joyce Dickerson on Crime

Make public safety one of my number one priorities

Public Safety is one of my number one concerns: Forged lasting partnership with the Sheriff Lott's Community Action Team (CAT), the Fire Department Chief Jenkins, and the Emergency Medical Service to ensure that the citizens are first and foremost safe in their homes, children in their perspective schools, as well as neighborhoods. I have experienced that people have less stress when they have a sense of security. That is why I have made public safety one of my number one priorities.

Martha Stewart: incarcerated but never lost sense of self

Martha Stewart brought homemaking to an all-new level and gave it a new perspective: she took it to Wall Street. She surpassed some of the greatest and earned the status of a financial guru. I don't have respect of race, color, or creed when it is relative to leadership. I admire Martha because she is a woman who can be incarcerated and never lost touch of self, style, sleekness, & effectiveness to rebound. She motivates me that "all things are really possible" if you apply yourself and "fear not.
