Dan Cox on Crime

Accountability for youth crime; expand rec centers

Q: On juvenile justice what serves the community best in terms of consequences and rehabilitation?

Cox: I talked with the young people and they want accountability. They also need to have rec centers built. We need to make sure we have rec opportunities for our youth and build and expand activities. The governor's crime policy has done nothing for the 12-year-old girl who was shot to death or the 52-year-old father of five last month. That is a problem of this governor. He signed the youth charge reform act every state's attorney opposed.

Moore: There is nothing that I take more seriously than public safety and making sure people can feel safe in their neighborhoods. We made the largest investments in local law enforcement in our state's history and we are having the fastest drops in violent crime in America. We can create pathways to imagine themselves in spaces bigger than where they are now it has to be about accountability and opportunities for our young people.

End police vaccine mandate and increase police pay

[On COVID vaccines]: "It's an honor to run to bring back sanity, to end the jabs for jobs, to end the mandates to make sure our police officers are not chased off the job by these jab mandates," said Cox. "What we're looking at is focused on ending the mandates, restoring the constitution for every individual, making sure bodily integrity and medical health freedom is there for everyone, ending the government overreach, making sure our police are backed and protected. I'd like to double police pay.

Hold dangerous criminals accountable with stiff jail terms

From defending our Second Amendment and supporting the Thin Blue Line, to attacking crime and human trafficking by passing sweeping legislation to hold dangerous criminals accountable with stiff jail terms, to opposing the lockdowns and draconian Executive Orders destroying businesses while illegally limiting safe and inexpensive healthcare remedies to the most vulnerable, Dan Cox has and is fighting for the rule of law in our State Government as an elected member of the House of Delegates.
