Brett Lindstrom on Civil Rights

Keep young talent in-state via diversity and inclusion

Among the concerns: bringing and keeping young talent in Nebraska. "That includes the diversity and inclusion side of things. We need to make sure we're welcoming to all people and I think that part of that is walking the walk, the messaging and branding we send as a state," Lindstrom said.

Asked to define Critical Race Theory and if racism exists in Nebraska: "Part of bridging the gap, especially from a governor's standpoint is realizing that you're going to represent everyone," Lindstrom said.

Opposed to critical race theory in schools

Regarding the race for Governor of Nebraska, we talked to one Republican candidate Brett Lindstrom and Libertarian candidate Scott Zimmerman about the proposed health education standards and critical race theory.

While sharing his views on the topic, Lindstrom said local government and local individuals should talk to their school boards to make sure these health standards and critical race theories don't get implemented. "The CRT, I'm opposed to that. The health care standards that have been pushed from the State Board of Education, I was one of 30 senators to sign on to that to tell them that we don't want that in the state that individuals their families moms and dads can make the best decisions for their kids and their education," said Brett Lindstrom, Republican Party candidate for governor.
