Teri Hourihan on Free Trade

Support free and fair trade, but not trade agreements

Q: Your opinion on "Support & expand free trade"?

A: I support free and fair trade when it benefits American workers, consumers, farmers, and businesses. International trade can create new markets, strengthen our economy, and help reduce costs, but trade agreements should not encourage companies to move American jobs overseas or allow foreign competitors to operate under unfair advantages. I support expanding trade opportunities when agreements are reciprocal, protect American jobs and critical industries, and give Arizona businesses and producers a fair opportunity to compete in the global marketplace.
