Endorsed by S.C. Equality Coalition for LGBT rights

Thomas Dixon's Senate campaign was endorsed by The South Carolina Equality Coalition, which is the state's largest organization for gay and lesbian rights. Says the Executive Director of S.C. Equality:

"Thomas Dixon is a longtime community activist, champions gun reform, women's reproductive rights and foremost LGBT equality. We know that he will continue to stand with the LGBT community in congress."

Dixon accepts the support with much thanks. Says Dixon: "Inequality of any kind to anyone is intolerable, and should not be accepted. Sadly, incumbent Sen. Tim Scott not only accepts and believes in inequality, but even promotes it in his role as our state's senator. For example, in 2013 Scott voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, defending employers who discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. When I am elected, I will put a stop to this attack on individual rights. As S.C. Equality often says, 'Equal means everyone.'"
