David Cobb on Health Care

Green Party nominee for President

Publicly funded, universal health care insurance

The majority of Americans want fundamental change in our health care system. The World Health Organization ranked the US health care system 37th in the world despite our spending more per capita than any country in the world. So what's the solution? It's been tested in every other industrialized country. It has been shown to lower overall health care spending by lowering administrative costs and the cost of prescription drugs. It's been shown to substantially improve of the health of the citizens in countries that have used it, as a direct result of providing access to medical care. It provides free choice of providers. It's free of hassle. It's been predicted by all state and federal studies to lower health care costs in the US while providing universal health insurance.

What is it? It's no secret. Publicly funded, universal health care insurance.
