Rob Maness on Health Care

ObamaCare is hurting the folks it's trying to help

Q: What is the single most important issue in this election?

A: The single most important issue of this election so far is the continued effects of the ObamaCare health care law, and its negative effects on the economy in Louisiana.

Q: If you could sit down face to face with Sen. Landrieu today, what would you tell her?

A: She needs to ask the President of the United States to delete this health care law from our books, because it's hurting the folks that their party said they're trying to help.

Empower patients and doctors to make their own choices

The only way to increase quality and access to healthcare while reducing costs is to ensure patients and doctors are empowered to make their own choices. Medical choices made at the provider and patient level are proven to drive down costs while maintaining quality service. I've supervised government hospitals and have been treated by government healthcare most of my life. With no incentive to keep cost down or provide good service, we've seen the lack of quality evident in the government model.
