Annie Andrews on Foreign Policy

Both Israelis & Palestinians deserve to live in peace

Q: What change would you like to see in US policy toward Israel?

Whitener: Israel is a great ally, but Israel is a strong country that can and should defend itself. Diplomatic activities between us and Israel are fine. We need to focus on diplomatic ties, but I would expect them to defend themselves.

Graham: Israel is a very strong ally. I fully believe we need to stand with Israel. The same people that want to hurt and attack Israel want to come after us, I fully believe in supporting Israel. I am concerned about the Socialist Democrats, however, because on October 7, when Hamas killed over 1000 Israelis, Hamas was just brutal, evil people. The Democrats cheered in the streets in New York over the death of over 1000 people.

Andrews: Israelis deserve a safe place to live and Palestinians deserve to live in peace. What is happening in the region is a humanitarian crisis and as a mother and a pediatrician I will not sit by and watch. We need to find an expedited path to peace.
