Annie Andrews on Immigration

Deport lawbreakers but respect human dignity & due process

Graham: Immigration is clear for me. I am probably a little tougher than my brother was on this. The key word being illegal. If you are here illegally, you need to go. I am all for border protection. I am for funding I.C.E. I think I.C.E. is doing a great job.

Andrews: I agree both parties have failed on immigration. I was also disgusted to watch both parties use this as a political football every election season. And Democrats have failed on the border. We need a secure border to be a secure nation. We also need to deport illegal immigrants break the law, but we can do those two things while still respecting the human dignity and due process of everyone who is here right now. I believe that I.C.E. needs to enforce our immigration laws, but they need to do that by focusing on dangerous criminals, traffickers, and fentanyl, and they need to respect due process.

Create a fair path to citizenship for people who work hard

I'll support immigration reform that:
• Strengthens border security
• Creates a fair path to citizenship for people who work hard and follow the rules
• Keeps families together and ensures due process
• Supports South Carolina's farms, businesses, and workforce
