No quotas & no requirements, except anti-discrimination law
Q: Should companies be required to hire more women & minorities? A: No, smart companies recognize the value of a diverse workforce but I am not in favor of requiring a certain percentage of workers being minority or women.
However, there is prejudice in our country and that needs to be acknowledged. There should not be prejudice in the hiring process based on race or sex. I favor enforcement of anti-discrimination laws that apply to hiring and the workplace.

Restore civil liberties undermined by the Patriot Act
The final major area of focus under my justice plank is restoration of civil liberties. In the last two decades there has been a steady erosion of our constitutional rights. This pace has picked up steam since 9/11 and anti-terrorism efforts -
especially the Patriot Act. We need to restore civil liberties undermined by the Patriot Act and other recent federal government actions.

Support medical leave for same sex partners
Kevin Zeese urged Rep. Ben Cardin to co-sponsor an amendment to the Family and Medical Leave Act that would grant medical leave benefits to same sex partners. "Rep.Cardin proudly touts his support for the original Family and Medical Leave Act, expressing

Zeese points out that the 2000 Census reports that there are nearly 600,000 same-sex households in the United States. Zeese urges Cardin to co-sponsor HR 475 to send a "message that you do not support discrimination against the gay and lesbian community.
