Women have sole right on contraception & abortion.

I believe a woman should have the sole right to make a final decision on her own health and well-being. No one should be able to overrule her on life decisions such as contraception and abortion.

The concerted effort by the Republican Party to disenfranchise women from the process, to mute their voice and lessen their role in society is plainly displayed in the platform they adopted at the National Republican Convention.

More than 1,000 bills were submitted in 2011 attacking Roe v. Wade issues including the defunding of Planned Parenthood which dedicates less than 3% of its expenditures towards abortion.

If elected I will fight to protect a woman's right to decide, I will support continued funding of Planned Parenthood and other efforts to assist women in need and I will work to make equal pay for equal work a reality.
