Gun-free zones create soft targets; more security at schools

More restrictive gun laws will not solve the problem. The solution needs to start with eliminating `gun-free zones' which create soft targets for shooters. Next we need to empower school security officers, teachers, and administrators, those with a concealed weapons license, to voluntarily carry their firearm as a first line of defense to protect our children in schools. Finally, we need to better tune our early warning systems to identify potential shooters and intervene before they act.
