Active donor to anti-gambling movement

Ricketts is a native Nebraskan who said he became politically energized last fall during his involvement in the anti-gambling movement. He donated $30,000 and lots of support to Gambling with the Good Life - the group that defeated two gambling proposals on last November's ballot. He said he learned in that campaign that "bad things can happen if people don't pay attention and don't get involved" and that "if you do get involved, you can make a difference."
