Sponsored Bald Eagle license plate to preserve eagle habitat

Latta sponsored the Bald Eagle license plate in the 122nd General Assembly. The proceeds from this plate are used to purchase eagle habitat and for eagle preservation in Ohio. In the 125th General Assembly, Latta worked with the Ohio Division of Wildlife to enact legislation that allows sportsmen and women to contribute to the Ohio Division of Wildlife Fund by paying an additional $25 license fee for each set of Sportsperson's License Plates. Authorizes appropriations for FY2009-FY2013 for Amtrak capital and operating grants; Amtrak repayment of long-term debt and capital leases; and the rail cooperative research program.

Authorizes grants for th Indeed, these achievements are occurring when there is a greater need than ever for alternatives to our congested highways and skies. To alleviate this congestion and strengthen our energy security, we need to invest in intercity passenger rail.
