Dina Titus on Social Security

Privatizing would slash benefits for middle-class by 40%

Serious challenges face the retirement security of all Americans. In the last 15 months, retirement plans have lost $2 trillion. As a member of Congress I’ll commit to protecting Social Security, which 130,000 Nevadans rely on for a dignified retirement.

For 73 years, Social Security benefits have been paid on time and in full every single month. Privatizing the program would slash benefits for middle-class Americans by more than 40%, replace a guaranteed benefit, and cost trillions of dollars.
