Oppose government sanctioned killing

Q: Do you support or oppose the Death Penalty?

A: NO. One mistaken execution is one too many. We know mistakes are made so we must simply end the death penalty. Dangerous criminals need to be permanently isolated from others so they are no longer a danger to others. All prisons should be self supporting which teaches life skills to those who will leave eventually and provides work to everyone inside the prison boundaries. Oppose government sanctioned killing.

Let judge and jury decide sentences, not Three Strikes

Q: Do you support or oppose Mandatory Three Strikes sentencing laws?

A: NO. There ought not to be an mandatory sentences. We have a Judge and a Jury to decide if the sentence should be long or short with or without parole or probation.

Judges should be free to determine the best sentence in individual cases. Prisons should be self supporting farms and shops providing all the prisoners needs.

Opposes the death penalty

It has been shown we make mistakes in finding the guilty person. We must put an end to the long complicated process of appeals and the high cost of death row. Put these people into ordinary prison life and get on with improving our judicial system so fewer mistakes are made.

Oppose mandatory Three Strikes sentencing laws

Current Three Strikes Laws include felonies that are not violent crimes. Individuals who do not pose any harm to society are being sent to prison. There is a better way. Send the really dangerous violent prone far from the rest of us and let non-violent offenders make restitution or some other means of making amends to their victims.
