Jeanne Shaheen on Drugs

Previously Democratic Governor (NH); candidate for Senate 2008

Foreign assistance helps counter-drug efforts

Q: Will you vote to repeal conditioning of foreign assistance on the signing of Bilateral Immunity Agreements?

A: This foreign assistance often goes toward counter-drug efforts, infrastructure and other areas that build stability in developing countries and therefore enhance our own security. I do not support a blanket conditioning on the signing of Bilateral Immunity Agreements.
