Jay Dardenne on Civil Rights

Constitutional amendment against gay marriage

As a State Senator, Jay voted for the Constitutional amendment that recognizes marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman. He is pro-traditional marriage but believes that the government does not have the right to create any unwarranted regulation into people's private lives. Jay voted to de-criminalize consensual and private heterosexual relations.
