Al King on Government Reform

Sunset half the programs we now have

Q: How do you propose to deal with the federal deficit?

A: The current federal deficit can be eliminated by simply not spending money on things we can't afford with money we don't have. Half of the laws and programs at the federal level do not work and should sunset. The administrative overhead and the national debt interest amount to more than half the total costs. We must have a balanced budget amendment immediately. Government should budget like our households do. Pork politics must stop.
