Brett Kavanaugh on Social Security

Enthusiastic preference to privatize social security

There's another element of conservative ideology in Kavanaugh's record: his apparent enthusiasm for privatizing Social Security. We do have Kavanaugh's judicial records, and those hint that he carries on the dream of turning over Americans' retirement benefits to Wall Street. In 2011, Kavanaugh was on a panel of judges that heard a challenge to the constitutionality of the ACA. Kavanaugh asked questions about the case's implications for a hypothetical future Social Security privatization plan.
