Zoltan Istvan on Tax Reform

Wealthy should bear a burden, to prevent a dystopic state

Q: Do you support higher taxes on the wealthy?

A: Support. Due to automation, robots, and software replacing most lower and middle class jobs over the next 30 years, inequality will grow. To counter this and growing angst over permanent job loss, more government services will be necessary (including a Universal Basic Income). The wealthy will have to somewhat bear this burden, or a dystopic state with increased chances of violence, terrorism, even civil war will be created.ÿ
