Ted Poe on Gun Control

Republican Representative (TX-2)

Staunchly support the 2nd Amendment

I staunchly support the 2nd Amendment and I am a strong advocate of its protection. The Right to Bear Arms is as important as any other right in the Constitution. It is an individual right. It is not just a right for states to form militias or National Guard units. I have received an A rating from the National Rifle Association for my commitment to defending the rights of law abiding gun owners and sportsmen, according to Charles Cunningham, Director of NRA Federal Affairs.
