We are saddling out own kids with $20 trillion in IOUs

As a County Commissioner, Ryan has passed balanced budgets and streamlined spending. During Ryan's time as County Commissioner, Chester County has consistently been recognized for its smart fiscal management. Washington on the other hand has a severe spending and debt problem. Both parties deserve blame when it comes to our debt crisis, but by the time President Obama leaves office, our debt will have doubled to $20 trillion under his watch. We cannot continue to ignore this problem as if it doesn't exist, because it represents one of the greatest threats to our national security. Worse, it diminishes the opportunities our own kids have in the future by saddling them with more and more IOUs that stifle investments in what America really needs--education, infrastructure, national defense and more. The best way to grow revenues is simplifying our tax laws to grow our economy and create more jobs, which in turn will add more money into the pockets of working families.
