Attorney General-Designee

In contempt of Congress for Fast & Furious gun/drug snafu

The Republican-led House of Representatives voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. It was the first time in American history that Congress has imposed the sanction on a sitting member of a president's cabinet.

Suspected "straw" purchasers for the network ended up acquiring about 2,000 guns. In Dec. 2010, two such weapons were found at the site of a shootout in which a Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, was killed, setting off the scandal.
