Protect against age, race, & gender discrimination

Glassman's plan would extend the same protections against racial or gender-discrimination to older Americans in the work force. It would also provide incentives to hire older workers, who are having a harder time re-entering the work force during the Bush Recession.

Rodney's plan would amend the ADEA to provide the same civil rights protections found in Title VII. We must expand it to include businesses with more than 10 employees. In addition, he plans to add protections to require job training programs available to younger employees be available to all employees.

If we establish a $2,500 tax credit for every employee hired above the age of 50 it would offset higher health care costs associated with older workers.

Women veterans earn $10K less than male vets

As part of a broader effort to address discrimination against all veterans and military service members, the proposed Veteran Employment Discrimination Prevention (VEDP) office would provide the following services:

• Operate a central hotline for information regarding veteran employment discrimination
• Proactively inform veterans of their legal rights to fair and equitable employment
• Allow attorneys to register in a database, so veterans can access proper legal resources within their communities
• Offer a specialized course on identifying and reporting veteran employment discrimination.

Same-sex couples should have all rights of married couples

A: I oppose all forms of discrimination. Every American should be afforded the same rights, privileges and protections as every other American. Same-sex couples should have all of the same the rights and privileges that are conferred upon married couples. Government should not be able to interfere in any way with two loving people committing their lives to one another.
