Cynthia Lummis:
Opposes Trade Promotion Authority; it's politically-driven
Today U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis (WY-at large) voted against Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which passed the House. However, since an accompanying trade measure, linked by law to TPA, failed to pass, the TPA measure remains in the
House and will not be signed into law without further Congressional action. Rep. Lummis voted against TPA in addition to the linked trade legislation. Commenting on the votes,
Rep. Lummis issued the following statement:"After six years of misleading statements on ObamaCare, failed foreign policy, and power grabs over water and land, this president has proven to be untrustworthy at every single turn.
I could not bring myself to cast Wyoming's vote in support of President Obama's politically driven agenda. I don't trust him with a clod of dirt, let alone international trade deals."

Cynthia Lummis:
Fair trade agreements focus on Wyoming exports
According to government statistics, Wyoming's export shipments of merchandise in 2011 were over $1 billion. Canada is Wyoming's largest export recipient. Canada, which received exports of $330 million (27 percent), was followed by Brazil ($101 million),
Australia ($82 million), Mexico ($78 million), and Indonesia ($71 million). The state's leading exports include carbonate, air and gas pumps, bentonite, light oils, uranium and natural gas.
The ability for Wyoming's small businesses to export their products is critical for our state's economic stability. Fair trade agreements are vital to the success of these trade relationships, and are helpful in opening new markets to Wyoming products.
However, each trade agreement must be evaluated on its individual merits, as not all agreements are created equal. I continue to base my support or opposition to each trade agreement upon its particular effects on Wyoming's citizens and industries.

Gary Trauner:
Negotiate fair trade deals for everyone
- Make sure no company or industry is "too big to fail" by strengthening and enforcing anti-trust laws anywhere industries become anti-competitive.
- Negotiate Fair Trade deals that open markets and raise the standard of living for everyone.
-
No government contracts to companies that move their headquarters overseas for tax purposes.
- Incentivize the engine of our economy--entrepreneurs and small businesses -so they can thrive and keep the American economy vibrant.

John Barrasso:
Supports USMCA trade agreement to replace NAFTA
The USMCA is a new trade pact among the US, Mexico and Canada, intended as a stronger and modernized replacement for NAFTA.Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY): "President Trump and his trade team have promised to level the playing field for American
families, workers, and businesses. The president's announcement of a new, modernized trade agreement with Canada and Mexico represents a major step toward fulfilling that promise. A new approach to North American trade was long overdue."

Mark Gordon:
Level the playing field for oil, gas, and mineral exports
The world demands what Wyoming has to offer, especially when it comes to our mineral and energy sectors. Wyoming continues to be a global leader in trona, uranium, and bentonite production. We must continue to advocate for all of these industries,
including fighting for level-playing fields internationally.
Around the globe technology keeps advancing, there is progress benefitting our world by burning coal more cleanly and efficiently. Japan and Korea have built the most efficient clean
burning fleets of coal fired electric generation ever.
Technologies employed there, when paired with Powder River Basin coal, can reduce the overall carbon emitted to the atmosphere. And yet, our access to these
Asian markets remains restricted, tied up in permit after permit. I believe this to be an unconstitutional restraint of trade. And I will strongly advocate for access to all markets.

Establish trade offices in Taiwan, Japan, and across Asia
I am excited that we established a trade office in Taiwan last year and one of the first products to sell there was Wyoming beef.
It is evidently much sought after in Taipei's finest restaurants. And I am thrilled that after a hiatus, Wyoming lamb is again going to Japan. We need to expand on these efforts across Asia.

Matt Mead:
Our state is not an island; compete in global market
International trade opportunities are a priority. Our state is not an island. It's not just us. We compete in a global market and Wyoming companies are developing and making products for here and around the world.
We need to help those companies get their products out there everywhere.Last year I visited Canada, South Korea and Taiwan to promote trade.
The Tourism Office was an important part of the trip to Asia, and Wyoming companies participated in the Canada trip.
Outreach efforts have begun, and they certainly should not end.
We must continue to work for increased export opportunities for Wyoming businesses and products. The Joint Appropriations Committee added $350,000 for developing international trade. I support this.

Eric Barlow:
Ranchers deserve fair markets for locally raised beef
President Donald Trump's announcements that the U.S. will allow Argentina to greatly expand its low-tariff beef exports to the U.S. to reduce prices for American consumers have riled Wyoming stock growers. Gubernatorial candidate and State Sen.
Eric Barlow, a Gillette Republican, "stands with Wyoming ranchers," he said in a statement issued Friday. "Our producers compete honestly and deserve fair markets that reflect the true value of locally raised beef."

Megan Degenfelder:
Fair trade so ranchers aren't undercut by foreign imports
I will always: - Fight for strong property rights
- Protect Wyoming's water from downstream states and federal overreach
- Stand up for Wyoming beef and livestock producers by expanding processing capacity,
promoting truth-in-labeling standards like "Product of USA," and ensuring fair trade practices so our ranchers aren't undercut by foreign imports
