Asa Hutchinson: Eradicate North Korean leadership, but no assassinations

Gov. Kasich said that President Trump ought to "eradicate" North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his top lieutenants in a surgical military strike designed to give rise to a more benign leadership in Pyongyang.

In a discussion with reporters in Washington, Kasich evaluated the escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula and suggested that Trump devise a plan to swiftly eliminate North Korea's leadership. "How do you deal with this? I think there might be a way, and that has to do with taking out the North Korean leadership," Kasich said. He added, "I believe the best way to solve this problem is to eradicate the leadership. I'm talking about those who are closest to making the decisions that North Korea's following now."

Kasich stopped short of explicitly recommending that US forces assassinate North Korea's leaders, but what he described would be a military & intelligence exercise. "The North Korean top leadership has to go. There are ways in which that can be achieved," Kasich said.

Bruce Westerman: Negotiate Israel-Palestine deal directly, not through UN

Any Palestinian effort to change its status should be via direct, high-level talks with Israel and not via the United Nations General Assembly or other UN organizations.

As a Member of Congress I will support efforts to withhold UN funding or PA aid in response to any move to recognize or legitimize a Palestinian state outside of the context of direct talks. Furthermore, I would support congressional action that would press other regional nations to normalize relations with Israel.

Additionally, as a Member of Congress, I will publicly urge the administration to veto any anti-Israel resolution brought before the UN Security Council, to fight against anti-Israel efforts in the UN General Assembly, and to strongly support Israel joining the Security Council.

Chris Jones: Stand up for our allies and for peace in Europe

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, this is your chance to really stand up for freedom and democracy. Do the right thing--Disavow Donald Trump on this issue. Call him out. Stand with the innocent people of Ukraine who are now being slaughtered. Do the right thing. Join me in standing up for our allies and for peace in Europe--and holding accountable all enemies, foreign or domestic, who aid and appease Vladimir Putin.

Conner Eldridge: Advocate for an aggressive, unapologetic foreign policy

Conner will strongly advocate for an aggressive, unapologetic foreign policy that is consistent with the United States Constitution. Those who would do us harm--whether ISIS, al Qaeda, or other countries or groups-should understand that we will destroy them if they threaten or harm us. Conner will also work to advance a strategic vision that furthers America's interests throughout the world.

Conner will fight to ensure our nation's military, intelligence and diplomatic communities have the resources they need to continue to be the strongest in the world and to protect Americans here at home and abroad.

Fully support passage of an emergency spending bill for our military in 2017 to provide our diplomatic, intelligence and military communities the resources they need. [Source: connerforarkansas.com/issue]

Mark West: Just because something is American doesn't make it better

Q: Do you support or oppose the statement, "Support American Exceptionalism"?

A: Oppose because simply because something is American doesn't make it automatically better. This mindset tends to leave us closed minded and unwilling to face up to the many abuses and injustices happening in our nation and at the hands of our nation that must be addressed.

Ricky Dale Harrington: As missionary in China, saw lack of rights under Communism

Ricky Dale Harrington is a missionary by profession having most recently served in Communist China and said, "I spent two years entrenched in Communism while living abroad in China. Every day I witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of lack of rights and freedoms that we hold so dear here in America. I was inspired to join the fight in saving our Republic. I have watched as many of you have, the unconstitutional laws being passed, the BIG government bureaucrats seeking to insulate their power at the expense of our personal freedoms. I say NO MORE! We have been divided like sheep and encouraged by our media to view our fellow Americans as our enemy. Like you, I see the importance of working together to preserve our Union, and the rights of all citizens."

"I am seeking the Libertarian nomination for US senate, SO WE CAN TAKE OUR REPUBLIC BACK! It is going to take all of you to send a message to the career politicians that we will no longer tolerate their corruption."

Tom Cotton: Buy strategically-important Greenland, to block China

Months before President Donald Trump expressed an interest in buying Greenland, Cotton said he suggested the idea to the President and met with the Danish ambassador to propose the sale of the large land mass to the U.S.

Cotton said Greenland's mineral reserves and its strategic location make it an ideal strategy move for the U.S., noting that such reasons are why President Harry Truman offered $100 million in the 1940s. Cotton said that Greenland's "economic potential is untold," and the island is "vital to our national security."

Cotton said in 2018 the Chinese government sought to essentially bribe the local government of Greenland into allowing it to build three military bases there. But efforts by Trump administration and some in Congress convinced Denmark to weigh in at the last minute and block the deal, Cotton said.

"I told the president you should buy it as well," Cotton said, adding later that "He's (Trump) heard that from me and from some other people as well."
