State of Montana secondary Archives: on Education

Albert Olszewski: Locally-directed privacy-oriented schools, not Common Core

I support education that is the product of locally directed curriculum. Our local school boards are in control of developing the full educational potential our children. I do not agree with our federal government coercing our local school boards with significant funding promises if they submit to Common Core implementation.

As Montana citizens we have a constitutional right to privacy that is more stringent than that provided by the federal constitution. It is not right that the federal government requires our school districts to provide our children's personal educational and biometric information in order to receive federal funding.

Our local school boards and State legislature must protect our children's privacy. This issue is very controversial. Will you stand with me to protect our children's privacy?
