2026 MN Senatorial race: on Foreign Policy

Angie Craig: I will work to strengthen our relationship with Israel

Craig, meanwhile, has been a strong supporter of Israel. When Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke before a joint session of Congress last year, an address given three months before Hamas attacked Israel, Omar and other Democratic lawmakers boycotted his speech in protest of Israeli policies. But Craig posted on X, "Hell YES, I will attend President Herzog's address to Congress... I will continue to work with Democrats and Republicans to strengthen our relationship with Israel."

Tina Smith: Voted for partial arms embargo on Israel

In an interview with anti-Israel news host Mehdi Hasan, Smith said that her vote to impose a partial arms embargo on Israel "was an opportunity to stand up for our values." She argued that the United States should not be "complicit" in the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that Israel's conduct during the ongoing war in Gaza is "antithetical" to American values and possibly in violation of US policy regarding use of military arms.

David Hann: Praises capture of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro

Press release, "Thanks Military": "As a Vietnam veteran, my heart is with the Minnesota families who have buried loved ones lost to fentanyl. Today, justice moved closer. I thank President Donald Trump, our brave U.S. military, and law enforcement for the precise, courageous mission that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro--a narco-terrorist whose cartel helped poison our communities. Protecting Minnesotans from fentanyl isn't a political issue--it's a no-brainer."

Peggy Flanagan: Rebuild ties with NATO allies, support Ukraine

Peggy supports rebuilding ties with our NATO allies, and supporting Ukraine in their fight against an unjust invasion by Putin. Trump's waffling on Russia, and insulting of our allies continues to isolate America in a time of increasing instability. This puts all of us in danger.

China has a history of unfair trade practices and intellectual property theft. Peggy supports cracking down on foreign actors like China who cheat to undercut American workers and Minnesota businesses.
