Don't prioritize people from other countries above Americans
Well, the kids do have a choice. If they have parents, they make a choice to keep their families together, if they want to or not. They--if parents make a decision to leave their children behind, then that's a choice that they made as a family.
And we need to remember that when Americans break the law, and they have consequences or face a situation, they're separated from their families too. I don't believe we should prioritize people from other countries above Americans.

South Africa. To move here from half-a-world away and leave behind the only homeland you've ever known, that's not something people do lightly. These people are doing it for a reason. So we welcome them, and I think there may be more coming soon.

This is how the Alien Sedition Act applies. And we cannot have district judges interfering with the commander in chief's actions to take care of in the way he deems necessary a terrorist organization.

Q: There are still enforcement actions by ICE taking place in Los Angeles. You have talked about your objections, as you've described them, to masked men, unmarked cars drawing guns, snatching people off the street. You've filed a Freedom of
Information requests to, "know who these masked men are." Why is their identity important to you? Do you plan to prosecute them?BASS: Well, no. Let me just explain, because you have people who are literally walking down the street,
sitting at bus stops, are individual vendors selling fruit on the street. These masked men pull up in unmarked cars and jump out of the cars with rifles and detain people. So, for the average citizen, it looks like it's a violent kidnapping.
So, you should never have that. They don't identify themselves. It's difficult to get your car washed in Los Angeles now because most of the car washes, the employees won't come to work out of fear that a raid will take place.
