Mark Robinson: Vaccinations for dangerous diseases; but COVID was overreach

Q: What most closely matches your view on healthcare?

A: [Chose choice C) "Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary." Comment:] If elected governor, my plan for improving healthcare for all North Carolinians includes creating more transparency in medical billing, tackling waste, fraud and abuse in the system to help further reduce costs and save taxpayer dollars, and supporting rural healthcare providers to make sure that North Carolinians of all backgrounds and communities can access the care they need.

Q: Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

A: I support current law that requires vaccinations for dangerous diseases before attending school with religious and medical exemptions. I oppose the overreach and mandates from the COVID-19 pandemic such as requiring COVID-19 vaccines.

Dale Folwell: Clear Pricing Project: no secret healthcare contracts

Q: HEALTHCARE: Your view on healthcare?

A: As NC State Treasurer, I have led the fight by initiating the Clear Pricing Project (CCP) within the NC State Health Plan to fight the CARTEL and to get rid of secret healthcare contracts on behalf of those that teach, protect and otherwise serve. Push the power to the people: they know how to consume in the other 80% of their lives. This includes an immediate repeal of Certificate of Need (CON) No one in NC consumes healthcare, it consumes them.

Q: Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

A: As Treasurer, we stayed in the check delivery business by managing COVID with common sense & courtesy. Even with pressure from Gov. Cooper, we didn't require vaccinations at the Treasurer's office. As Governor, I wouldn't require COVID/vaccinations

Dan Eubanks: Don't require vaccinations; Medicare & Medicaid only

Q: HEALTHCARE: Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

A: Never, if it violates the conscience or faith of the individual. If we as society believe that a vaccine protects an individual from illness, then it should not matter if the individual decides whether they want it or not. It's their choice.
