On Civil Rights: No tax funds for gender transition

Q: Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services?

A: Strongly Disagree. As State Treasurer I am a defendant & am under court order to use taxpayer money to provide sex transition services. This case is in the Federal 4th Circuit and likely headed to the US Supreme Court.

Q: No healthcare diagnosis or treatment should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent unless an emergency situation arises risking immediate death?

A: Strongly Agree. Let parents be parents!

Q: Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation?

A: Strongly Agree. Just like we protect them from driving, consuming cigarettes or alcohol. Body mutilation is impossible to reverse.

Q: Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition?

A: Strongly Agree. My answer speaks for itself

On Corporations: Free enterprise & property rights: keys to upward mobility

Q: ECONOMY: Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system?

A: Strongly Agree. Free enterprise and property rights are the keys to upward mobility and joy of achievement. As Governor, I will consistently promote free enterprise and will not support the taking of private property through imminent domain.

On Environment: ESG raises the cost of doing business in NC

Q: Should ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings be used in deciding where to invest public monies?

A: No. As State Treasurer, I'm the only person in the US who officially asked for Larry Fink of Blackrock to be fired because of his attempts to politicize the NC Pension System. As Chair of the State Banking Commission, I found ESG is/was raising the cost of doing business in NC. ESG needs to stand for NC Energy independence, Safe neighborhoods and Good government.

On Health Care: Clear Pricing Project: no secret healthcare contracts

Q: HEALTHCARE: Your view on healthcare?

A: As NC State Treasurer, I have led the fight by initiating the Clear Pricing Project (CCP) within the NC State Health Plan to fight the CARTEL and to get rid of secret healthcare contracts on behalf of those that teach, protect and otherwise serve. Push the power to the people: they know how to consume in the other 80% of their lives. This includes an immediate repeal of Certificate of Need (CON) No one in NC consumes healthcare, it consumes them.

Q: Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

A: As Treasurer, we stayed in the check delivery business by managing COVID with common sense & courtesy. Even with pressure from Gov. Cooper, we didn't require vaccinations at the Treasurer's office. As Governor, I wouldn't require COVID/vaccinations

On Jobs: Minimum wage impacts employment crisis

Q: What is your position on the minimum wage?

A: I received a minimum wage for nearly 15 years of my life. As a public servant my focus has always been on putting people in a position of earning more than the minimum wage. We have an employment crisis in our state and this topic impacts that.

On Principles & Values: EGO stands for Edging God Out

Q: Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs & values.

A: I am not a perfect person. I believe "ego" stands for Edging God Out. I want God to be happy with me. Every night, I surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ and hope that he gets between my ears every morning before the rest of the world does. Jesus is the center of my joy. I believe God made everyone possibly better AT something than anyone in the world- not better THAN. I also think that there shouldn't be ethical gaps between a candidate's personal, campaign and professional life.

The root word of Governor is to govern. The root word of conservative is to conserve. They are verbs. God gave me the vision to see, humility to listen and COURage (not rage) to act. I'm not the most hateful, tallest, richest or loudest candidate for Governor. I'm the candidate who as Governor can fix the agencies like DMV,DOT, DHHS and board of elections. I will be a constitutional Governor who will follow the NC Constitution and the Republican Platform.

On War & Peace: Fight boycott of Israel; fight long game of Communist China

Q: NATIONAL SECURITY: The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States?

A: Strongly Agree. The Communist Chinese Government continues to play the long game to destroy the United States of America, morally , spiritually and economically. With the Federal Government's addiction to debt, it gets mathematically difficult to fight this threat.

Q: Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

A: A strong and sovereign Israel is spiritually and economically vital to the United States. As State Treasurer, I divested our Pension System of Unilever because of Ben and Jerry's boycott of Israel. I stand with Israel . Unlike my opponent, I am not a Holocaust denier. That is true yesterday, today and tomorrow.
