On Crime: Community policing: more COPS funding

One of the most important tools in the fight against crime is involvement of all members of the community. In 1994, Congress passed landmark legislation aimed at putting 100,000 new police officers in community programs to work with local groups to fight crime. Our education dollars are already stretched to their limit. Draining resources from our public education system to fund private schools is not the solution to our education problems. We need to focus our resources, our funding, and our improvement efforts on our public education system, because every student deserves the opportunity to receive the best education possible in a public school. Bradbury supports an individual?s right to bear arms. He believes there are other reasonable steps that we can take to ensure our safety.
