Pat Flynn on Immigration

No amnesty; learn English; require sponsorship

  1. Uphold the Rule of Law: Increase workplace compliance; Strengthen employment verification; Facilitate state and local law enforcement
  2. No Amnesty
  3. Repatriation: The only fair and reasonable way to resolve this dilemma without granting amnesty is to insist that individuals who are unlawfully present in the country return to their countries of origin and then apply, in line and on par with other applicants, for legal entry to the US.
  4. Strengthen Citizenship: Provide for the common language; Clarify birthright citizenship
  5. Policy must benefit the American Economy: Don't import poverty--Emphasize high-skill immigration
  6. A Real Temporary Worker Program: Keep it temporary; Require sponsorship; Resolve family status; Require bilateral agreements; Include program triggers; Provide economic incentives
