Patriot Act cost us our Fourth Amendment rights
Q: What do you think about Executive Authority with regards to warrantless wiretapping? TESTER: It deals with the freedoms that so many people have fought and died for. If we want to get serious about the War on Terror, we need to make the investments
to fight the war on terror. We ought not be taking rights away from honest citizens.
JONES: e've lost our Fourth Amendment rights; now there's no protection to our privacy. Senator, you're telling me I'm guilty of being a terrorist first. All you have
to do is accuse me, and the Patriot Act applies to me, and I'm guilty and have to prove I'm innocent. You've turned our legal system upside down. We have to turn this off.
BURNS: The Patriot Act is a tool that is in place now for drug kingpins and
organized crime. Why don't you want that extended to terrorists? If you repeal it, there goes the Meth Control Act, and the ability to monitor international phone calls from known numbers of people who want to kill us.

Discontinue affirmative action programs
Indicate which principles you support regarding employment and Affirmative Action Issues. - Reduce government regulation of the private sector in order to encourage investment and economic expansion.
- Eliminate all federal programs designed to
reduce unemployment.
- The federal government should discontinue affirmative action programs.

Blanket pardon on license laws until Soc.Sec.number removed
I won't hesitate to issue blanket pardons when the legislature passes unnecessary laws over my veto (or fails to repeal bad laws). For example, if I'm elected governor, I will issue a blanket pardon for everyone caught hunting or fishing without a
license, until the law requiring your social security number on the application, is repealed. That law is a violation of your right to privacy. I will minimize government! And, I will return your freedoms, and the power of self-government, to you.

Equal status for homosexuals, not special status
Homosexuals must enjoy all the rights of every individual-no more, no less. They should not have a protected status under civil rights laws.

Consensual behavior is none of the governments' business
Gambling is an area of free choice for each individual. Activities without victims are not crimes (and society is not a victim). Consensual behavior is none of the governments' business.
Government should not be involved in gambling in any way. It should not regulate it nor should it offer gambling in the form of a lottery (or any other form).
