Quico Canseco on Civil Rights

Traditional marriage should be only recognized marriage

I am pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and I will vote that way in Congress. I believe, and have supported, the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman. In Texas, we overwhelmingly passed a state Constitutional Amendment to establish that definition. In Congress, I will work to ensure traditional marriage is the only recognized marriage in our country.

Supports Amendment to prevent same sex marriage.

Canseco supports the CC survey question on banning same-sex marriage

The Christian Coalition voter guide [is] one of the most powerful tools Christians have ever had to impact our society during elections. This simple tool has helped educate tens of millions of citizens across this nation as to where candidates for public office stand on key faith and family issues.

The CC survey summarizes candidate stances on the following topic: "Federal Marriage Amendment to prevent same sex marriage"
