Lloyd Smucker on Health Care

Repeal ObamaCare & return regulatory power to states

Congressman Smucker voted in support of the American Health Care Act. The bill repeals the Affordable Care Act and returns regulatory power to states so governors can run state-specific programs instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. H.R. 1628 also ends ObamaCare's costly mandates and provides a market-driven system that will lower premiums.

ObamaCare is a failure because insurance costs increased

ObamaCare has failed the American people. In 2010, supporters said costs would go down. Instead, families and individuals across Pennsylvania face skyrocketing premiums and deductibles they simply cannot afford. They have been forced off their plans and forced to find new doctors. It's time for change.

Keep ObamaCare, according to PVS survey.

Smucker supports the PVS survey question on repealing ObamaCare

Project Vote Smart inferred whether candidates agree or disagree with the statement, 'Health Care: Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?' PVS self-description: "The Political Courage Test provides voters with positions on key issues. Historically, candidates have failed to complete our test due to the advice they receive from their advisors and out of fear of negative attack ads."
