Adriano Espaillat on Jobs

Unionized 35,000 home-based daycare providers

Adriano is a true organizer at heart. He successfully helped organized over 35,000 home-based daycare providers so they would have access to healthcare and better wages. Adriano also led the effort to create a livery driver's worker's compensation fund. Adriano is also the author of the New York Farm Workers Fair Labor Practices Act, which would give basic rights to 100,000 farmworkers, who currently are subject to unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

End wage discrimination against women

Adriano Espaillat has a clear vision for economic development in upper Manhattan, which boils down to paying people fairly and giving small businesses a helping hand. Adriano will fight to end wage discrimination by calling for the strongest possible assurances that women are paid an equal wage for equal work.

Bring the fight for $15 to Washington

Adriano believes [wages] should be livable for all. He will bring the fight for $15 to Washington, with the same passion and determination that has made him a leader in the fight for $15 in New York.
