Seth Moulton on Environment

We need a sustainable solution to the fishing crisis

The North Shore of Boston is not only home to some of the most beautiful beaches, it is also a place where generations of families have grown up fishing. Over the last several years, the industry has lagged due to over-fishing and the absence of a long-term vision. We need a sustainable solution to the fishing crisis that makes fishermen whole and stabilizes the region to thrive through the fluctuations of the fishing industry.

In Congress, I will not only secure funding to help solve the fishing crisis, I will also work alongside fishermen to identify and implement a long-term strategy that revives the industry. Our leaders must transition from viewing the fishing industry with a sense of forlorn to a spirit of progressive action to move this crisis toward solutions and stability.
