High earners should pay fair share to reduce deficit

When Granite Staters pay their taxes this week, they should know that all citizens are sharing the burden and that the budget will not be balanced on the backs of middle class Americans.

Republicans' priorities are clear, they once again voted for the Ryan budget that ends Medicare as we know it while cutting taxes for the wealthy. I will bring fair solutions to the problems facing our country and will fight to protect New Hampshire families, seniors and Medicare.

Supports increasing tax rates.

Christian Coalition publishes a number of special voter educational materials including the Christian Coalition Voter Guides, which provide voters with critical information about where candidates stand on important faith and family issues. The Christian Coalition Voters Guide summarizes candidate stances on the following topic: "Increasing federal income tax rates"

Supports an income tax increase.

Project Vote Smart infers candidate issue stances on key topics by summarizing public speeches and public statements. Congressional candidates are given the opportunity to respond in detail; about 11% did so in the 2012 races.
