Warren worked towards passage of one of the nation’s toughest campaign finance reform laws. This law banned lobbyists’ gifts to public officials and reduced the maximum contribution from lobbyists, PAC’s and individuals.
Warren helped draft the 1998 Clean Elections Law ballot referendum. As one of the three chief sponsors of the state “Motor Voter” Bill, Warren passed legislation that brought Massachusetts in line with the National Voter Registration Act.
